This show featured the culmination of another great rivalry in GPW that had been brewing for sometime in the tag team division. Damage Control, WKD, Project Ego and even Kev and Krev claimed to be the best tag team in GPW. After several controversial battles between the 4, Richard Noble finally decided to settle the matter once and for all in a tornado tables elimination match with an added bonus, the winners of the match would be crowned the first ever GPW Tag Team Champions. The match was scheduled to take place in the main event of the evening but before we got to the match there were several great matches.
Tag Team Match
The Mil-Anfield Connection versus Rupert and Mike Holmes
This match came about as a result of what took place at the last show, Jiggy Walker tired of Mike’s so called “dodgy officiating” in his matches had challenged Mike to team with his brother Rupert against the MilAnfield Connection. The action was quick and fast with the Holmes duo showing great teamwork despite it being their first match as a tag team.
Joseph Hayes versus Paul “Demo” Gibson
Hayes came into this match full of momentum after his big win over Bubblegum at Back with a Bang and despite Demo’s loss to Sabotage at the same event he seemed more focused then ever in his attempt to end Hayes winning streak.
Intergender Challenge Match
Dirk Feelgood versus SIN Member Minx
Dirk had a bit of fun with Minx in the early going embarrassing her with several humiliating mouenevers and seemed to have the match well in hand until the timely interference of SIN Members Hayes and Phere (who still hadn’t left ringside) gave Minx the upper hand allowing Minx to work over Feelgood’s injured arm.
GPW British Championship Match
Jonny Phere versus Champion “Dangerous” Damon Leigh
DDL fresh off his huge win over Alex Shane again had a lot of pressure on him going into this match, having only just regained the title from Shane a month ago after waiting a year for a title shot, could he possibly lose the title to a hungry Jonny Phere?
Joseph Hayes versus Bubblegum
This match was a rematch from the last show, Back with a Bang and it just got going when Mr Noble reappeared and said he had changed the match it was now going to be a triple threat match, the third man? El Ligero making his return to GPW.
Joseph Hayes versus Bubblegum versus El Ligero
The next match praised by the GPW fans as being a potential match of the year got off to a great start with some great exchanges. The action was fast and furious and Hayes, despite having competed earlier managed to keep up with the 2 high flyers. Each man had the opportunity to win the match but the third man always broke up the pinfall at the last possible moment.
Main Event: Tornado Tables Elimination Match for the GPW Tag Team Championship
Project Ego versus Kev and Krev versus Damage Control versus WKD
Finally it was time for the main event of the evening. As previously stated Kev and Krev were in the match and Project Ego was represented by Kris Travis and Scotty Hexx, WKD by C Juice and D Lyrium and Damage Control by “The Dragon” Sean Macleane and Dom Travis.
